Welcome to The Compounds

Located within a half mile of UNH, these two student housing buildings offer the convenience of proximity to campus and to the coffee shops and restaurants in Durham. Known locally as, The Compounds, parking spaces are available on a lottery basis; however, bring your bicycle and store it within the interior or exterior bike storage areas. 30 Madbury Road opened in 2023 and the 17-bedrooms and six units in this building are spacious and five of the units come with two bathrooms. Each bedroom in this building is equipped with a desktop, closet storage space, and an overhead light. These units come with a full kitchen with the dishwasher and sink located in the kitchen island. 32 Madbury Road is the original 1950 farm house, south facing, with the 1980's addition in the rear. This unique property houses 34-beds and 18 units. Off-street parking is available on a lottery basis (51 tenants 47 spaces available). Covered bicycle storage is available at no additional cost. Self-service laundry machines are available in both buildings. You will love living at The Compounds!

The Compounds are located in the center of the vibrant Durham community.  Easily access the university, the restaurants, shops, and walking trails.

We’re focused on providing a welcoming atmosphere and safe environment for our residents, by creating a supportive space to enhance your higher education career at The University of New Hampshire.
